TGA's First Women's Golf Clinic

Many of our TGA moms have asked us in recent months if we would consider running a golf clinic for women. First we had to secure the golf course availability we needed for our junior golf programs this spring, but now a slot has opened up.

We are excited to announce we will be running a clinic for women on Mondays starting April 24 at Dunwoodie Golf Course in Yonkers. We have two sessions available, and both will run for four weeks. You can register for one session or both. Here are the dates for each session:

Session 1 - 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22

Session 2 - 6/5, 6/12, 6/19, 6/26

The Monday clinics will run for 1 hour 6-7pm. The clinic is open to all women, not just those with children enrolled in one of our TGA programs.

The clinic will feature station-based instruction on full swing, chipping and putting with Coach Joe Guise and his staff. In addition to working on basic fundamentals and proper technique, players will compete in a variety of fun contests and skills challenges to put their games to the test. We also will discuss golf rules and etiquette as well as mental aspects of the game such as club selection and course management to prepare you for on-course play.

For those of you new to the game, it will be a great introduction to golf. And for those of you with some experience, the combination of instruction and the opportunity to practice each week will take your game to the next level.
